This is a sensitive time and AIM Hi is dedicated to keeping our learners, staff, and community safe. AIM Hi takes everyone’s safety seriously and are implementing standards to support social distancing through isolated treatment spaces, enhanced sanitation measures, health screening of all staff and learners, and other recommended safety precautions in accordance with all state and federal guidelines.
Our Learning Center
The AIM Hi Learning center is a specially designed facility developed to enhance learning through hands-on participation and engagement. We offer a full-time, integrative, and individualized learning experience where children come to our center, just as they would go to school, to learn and play.
Generalization
As language skills are taught, some children need specific teaching for those skills to transfer from an instructional setting to the natural environment. This means that sometimes skills are lost because the learner has nowhere to apply or utilize their new skills. The AIM Hi center provides the learner with an opportunity to utilize their skills in a natural way so their skills may be maintained. We believe that every moment is a teachable moment and that every skill a child works hard to acquire is not lost.
Concept Teaching
Incorporated into our instruction is Concept Teaching. Each of our play areas are designed to have 3 different components to engage a learner: socio-dramatic play, hands-on learning activities (using 3D objects), and picture games. Rather than simply teaching words, we aim to teach the concept of a particular word through experiential play and interaction with various representations of the word to improve comprehension and understanding.

Center-based therapy is becoming a popular option for autism treatment. It is an intensive approach that puts the learner’s needs at the forefront of treatment with reduced distraction and enhanced progress monitoring by supervisory staff. The AIM Hi center is unique, as it offers a full-time learning program and is tailored to our specialized teaching approach. Through systematic support and implementation of goals, our main objective is to give our learners all the tools they need to thrive independent of ABA services.
